About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our digital maternity team as a Band 6 Digital Midwife. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the digital transformation program and make a significant impact on the trust's services.

Main Duties

  • To provide leadership and expert advice on the maternity digital agenda for the trust.
  • To work under the leadership of the Digital Lead Midwife in building and maintaining the new system in its clinical effectiveness and implementation across maternity.
  • To deliver both scheduled and ad hoc training to staff, with the ability to identify individual training needs.
  • To support with digital maternity policies and collaborate on the formulation and implementation of SOPs where required.
  • To represent the trust at networks, conferences, and other meetings regarding trust developments and play an active role in sharing progress and learning with others.

Key Performance Indicators

  • To ensure that the maternity digital program is fully integrated with all relevant trust programs and initiatives.
  • To review current and future clinical information requirements to identify, initiate, and coordinate appropriate digital improvement project proposals.
  • To play a key role in coordinating and addressing data quality issues, provision of data analysis, and problem-solving these issues at a hands-on, clinical level.

Person Specification

  • A registered midwife with evidence of continued professional/personal development.
  • Experience of working at a Band 6 level (minimum 2 years) with advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A role model for the maternity digital agenda with skills and knowledge in all areas of midwifery care.

Estimated Salary Range: £43,041 - £56,009 per annum, depending on experience.
