Join Our Team as a Technical and Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide technical and administrative support to our laboratory and office-based projects at the Water Research Centre. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our objectives, including being consciously sustainable and a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical and Administrative Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date data records
  • Providing routine laboratory support, including sample processing and preparation
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Offering general technical and administrative support to our laboratory and office teams
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A-levels or equivalent qualifications
  • Basic numeracy skills and experience working with data, Excel, and the MS Office toolset
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A can-do attitude, flexibility, and a positive approach to work
  • Eligibility to work permanently in the UK
  • Ability to be based in our Swindon office
Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, qualifications in STEM disciplines such as chemical sciences would be highly desirable.
