Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at 1st Step in Greater London. This is a contract position with a 2-year project duration, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work on a well-known national M&E contractor's project.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the safety, technical standards, and quality of works undertaken within the business unit/site. You will ensure design and drawing reviews are completed accurately, support and fixings are implemented correctly, and adherence to the quality control management system is maintained.

You will demonstrate appropriate health and safety awareness, undertaking factory testing of major items of plant and equipment and reporting defective materials. You will also manage cross-departmental risk mitigation processes and procedures, ensuring all operatives hold the necessary qualifications and competencies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate health and safety awareness and ensure safety is prioritized in all project activities.
  • Undertake factory testing of major items of plant and equipment and report defective materials.
  • Manage cross-departmental risk mitigation processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all operatives hold the necessary qualifications and competencies.
