Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Adult Inpatient Mental Health team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality evidence-based nursing care to service users with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care required for service users, ensuring it meets Trust timescales.
- Participate in the setting of quality standards, monitoring, and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with service users and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries.
- Ensure the safe custody and administration of medicines in accordance with all medicine policies.
- Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH) or other specialism relating to post, such as Registered Nurse Learning Disability (RNLD) or Registered Nurse Children's (RNC), NMC registration.
- Postgraduate qualification relating to ward specialism.
- Mentor qualification / ENB 998 or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and written, including IT literacy (MS Office).
- Able to keep calm and respond appropriately under pressure.
- Effective time management and organisation skills.
- Knowledge of physical healthcare needs.
- Awareness of safeguarding issues and responsibilities under relevant legislation.
- Basic understanding of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
