Lay Ministry Development Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Lay Ministry Development Officer. This role will be responsible for identifying, planning, and delivering new opportunities for training and Continuous Ministerial Development (CMD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop training programs to equip lay Christians in their ministries.
  • Oversee the provision of training programs, including the Bishop's Certificate and other diocesan initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for online training across the diocese.
  • Support individuals discerning their lay vocation and training needs.
  • Develop and lead adult education or training programs.
Requirements:
  • Experience in planning, developing, and leading adult education or training programs.
  • Ability to identify gifts and talents and encourage individuals in their ministries.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
