About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Advisor to join our team at Essex County Council. As a key member of our Corporate Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in driving business performance and informing strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of performance management strategies and initiatives to drive business improvement and growth.
  • Provide expert analysis and insights to senior leaders, using complex data and analytical techniques to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions.
  • Develop and maintain robust performance management frameworks, metrics, and reporting to ensure timely and accurate data-driven insights.
  • Support the development of business cases and proposals to secure funding and resources for key initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior leaders, directors, and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our performance management capabilities remain cutting-edge.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in performance management, business intelligence, or a related field, with a strong track record of driving business improvement and growth.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of business operations, strategy, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Education to degree level or equivalent, with a strong background in a relevant field such as business, economics, or data science.
