**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Contracts Manager to lead the management of our supplier relationships, ensuring that our service delivery and commercial objectives are met and exceeded.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Implement, monitor, and manage supplier KPIs to ensure an effective supply chain, addressing any issues that arise.
* Handle day-to-day management of key suppliers, including invoice validation, price increase management, and conducting regular supplier reviews.
* Plan and manage supplier tenders/RFPs, ensuring that contracts are market-tested, competitive, and aligned with our operational needs.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts meet financial, operational, and customer objectives, while driving continuous improvements.
* Develop and implement process improvements with operational colleagues, particularly for smaller/local suppliers, to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burdens.
* Manage the transition and mobilisation of new suppliers, ensuring a seamless experience for McCarthy Stone and our customers.
**Requirements:**
* Substantial experience in supplier and procurement management, ideally within a construction or services business.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex tenders from start to finish.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent tools).
* Critical thinking with a problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to constructively challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
