Editorial Administrator Role

We are seeking an experienced Editorial Administrator to join our team at Redwood Publishing Recruitment. As an Editorial Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the administration of our journal peer-review system, ensuring that all procedures meet the needs of authors, referees, and editors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to authors, reviewers, readers, and editors, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate the review process, ensuring that manuscripts are properly tracked and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and send decision letters to authors, as well as other relevant communications.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that manuscripts are formatted and ethics-checked correctly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of people and articles, ensuring that our database is always current.
  • Generate reports and statistics as required, providing valuable insights to the team.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a publishing or scientific environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach, with a willingness to take initiative and contribute to the team's success.
