Job Overview

Opus People Solutions is seeking a skilled Nursing Home Unit Manager to lead a team of nurses and carers in providing exceptional care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Home Manager to implement effective clinical governance policies and NICE guidelines, ensuring compliance with NMC and regulatory standards.
  • Mentor and support nurses and carers, providing coaching on current clinical practices such as medication administration, wound care, and health assessments.
  • Maintain accurate care records for all residents, ensuring care plans reflect their needs and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and review clinical standards within the care home, identifying areas for improvement and driving necessary changes.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager and the management team to promote a positive work environment that encourages staff engagement and development.

Requirements:

  • NMC registered nurse
  • Demonstrable experience as a nurse manager or in a similar leadership role
  • Effective team player with strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Solid clinical expertise with a focus on person-centred care
  • Proficient in IT, with experience managing electronic records and databases
