M2R Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Head of Department. This role will play a vital part in supporting the Head of Department in providing exceptional management, leadership, and guidance across the curriculum.

Salary Details

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £42,907 per annum. In addition to this, they will be entitled to generous holiday leave entitlement, including bank holidays, and a comprehensive pension scheme.

Job Responsibilities

As an Assistant Head of Department, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality management and leadership to support the Head of Department in delivering excellent teaching and learning experiences.
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to improve student achievement and progress.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of the curriculum.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 5 or above teaching qualification, such as DET, DTLLS, or Cert Ed/PGCE.
  • A Full level 3 NVQ Construction qualification relating to the curriculum area.
  • An IQA Award or equivalent.
  • Extensive relevant experience working in an education/training provider.
  • Recent teaching experience in the relevant curriculum area.
  • Evidence of professional updating and development.
  • Ability to work across multiple campuses.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • UK Right to Work.
