About the Role

The University of London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Alumni Engagement and Community Development efforts. As the Head of Alumni Engagement and Community Development, you will play a critical role in fostering a positive experience for our global alumni community, comprising over 500,000 individuals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance alumni engagement and community development, aligning with the University's mission to promote global access to education.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University of London federation to support the delivery of strategic and philanthropic fundraising priorities.
  • Work closely with the senior management team of the Development Office to achieve the University's development objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to promote the University's mission and values.
  • Develop and implement programs to increase alumni participation, retention, and giving, with a focus on creating a sense of community and belonging among alumni.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in alumni engagement, community development, or a related field, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
