Job Description

Job Title: Building Services Maintenance Technician

Reporting to: Technical Manager

Location: London

Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri

Salary: £46,000

Role Overview and Purpose:

To carry out quoted works, PPMs, and reactive repairs to M&E Plant and site building fabric, landlord side.

To complete proactive inspections and any required remedial repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance, including fault finding, testing, repairing, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
  • To carry out various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
  • To close/update completed PPM tasks on the site computerised maintenance system.
  • To carry out small electrical installation work.
  • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • To ensure company and site health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • To maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
  • To work from platforms and ladders.
  • To keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • City & Guilds/NVQ - Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 17th Edition IEE.
  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • A demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work unsupervised.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.

Desirable:

  • City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test & Inspection.
  • Knowledge and use of computer software - Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems.
