Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CHEP's Service Centre in Birmingham. As a key member of our multi-skilled team, you will be responsible for maintaining all manufacturing assets, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively work with the team to identify and resolve equipment issues, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, adhering to health and safety protocols and best practices.
  • Support site reliability initiatives, analyzing failure modes and trends to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Issue work permits and supervise contractors as needed.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, with evidence of cross-skilling.
  • Desirable qualifications include 18th Edition wiring regulations, PAT Testing, PLC qualifications, and Machine Safety certifications.
