Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to be engaged on a contract basis, based in York, Leeds, or Manchester.

About the Role

This role will involve involvement in both pre- and post-contract commercial management and quantity surveying duties throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will provide high-quality cost control to ensure successful delivery across a range of contracts and safeguard the interests of the client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Involvement in commercial management and quantity surveying duties throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide high-quality cost control to ensure successful delivery across a range of contracts and safeguard the interests of the client.
  • Adhere to the project commercial strategy to maximise revenue, cash flow & EBIT.
  • Support project teams in change control and providing weekly and monthly updates to project leads.
  • Proactively engage with project teams including regular visibility across offices and sites.
  • Support bid teams where required on strategic bids with clients and contractors.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in a quantity surveying role from main contractor or consultancy.
  • Knowledge of contract management and change control.
  • Understanding of common Forms of Contract (particularly NEC).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in project and business unit teams.
