About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Neuroimaging Specialist to join our team at the University of Nottingham. This position involves employing advanced MRI techniques and data analysis tools to investigate the relationship between diabetes status and sweet taste perception.

In collaboration with our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to a large-scale research project funded by Diabetes UK, in partnership with the University of Adelaide, Australia. Your expertise in MRI analysis will be instrumental in advancing our understanding of diabetes-related changes in gut-brain signalling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement MRI experiments to examine the impact of diabetes on sweet taste processing
  • Work closely with neuroimaging specialists, sensory scientists, and diabetes healthcare experts to achieve research objectives
  • Maintain and improve MRI analysis pipelines for accurate data interpretation
Qualifications and Experience

A PhD (or near completion) in neuroimaging or a related field is required, along with prior experience in developing and applying MRI analysis pipelines. Strong publication records and excellent communication skills are essential.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time role with a salary range of £31,387 to £46,485 per annum, contingent upon qualifications and experience (min. £34,866 with relevant PhD). Performance-driven salary progression is applicable.
