Job Title: Chief Electrical Design Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Location: Remote (2 days per fortnight on site)

Hourly Rate: £79.17 (Inside IR35)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at JAM Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design and development of electrical power systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring that electrical power systems are designed and developed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Design and Development: Develop and maintain electrical power system designs, including power generation, distribution, and protection systems.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring that electrical power systems are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure that electrical power systems are integrated into the overall project scope.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and system documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that electrical power systems meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical power system design and development, with a strong background in power generation, distribution, and protection systems.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of electrical power systems, including power generation, distribution, and protection systems. Proficient in design software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Excellent communication and project management skills.
