Infrastructure Engineer

Adria Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic and ever-growing business client. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, providing exceptional support to our users, and driving excellence in IT infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server Administration: Perform day-to-day server administration tasks, including patching, configuration changes, and troubleshooting.
  • Incident Response: Respond to critical incidents and standard service requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • Technical Project Work: Complete technical project work on server and storage hardware, Active Directory, VMWare vSphere, Windows Server, Veeam, Microsoft Azure, GCP, and Microsoft 365.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective relationships with business users and IT teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • IT System Maintenance: Perform routine IT system maintenance tasks, including patches and configuration changes, to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Cloud Administration: Administer cloud-based systems and services, including GCP, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Technical Documentation: Update technical documentation to enable the IT Service Desk to resolve more incidents without escalation.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including Group Policy, and experience administering a Windows Server estate (2012 R2+).
  • Cloud Experience: Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and administering VMWare vSphere.
  • Networking Knowledge: Good understanding of networking concepts, including DNS and DHCP.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to quickly and accurately respond to reactive problems.
  • ITIL Experience: Experience working in an ITIL environment, understanding end-to-end processes across the organisation.
