About the Role:

As a SEND Support Specialist at SEND Inclusion Support, you will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive and nurturing educational environment for children with special educational needs (SEND) and mental health challenges. Your mission will be to provide outstanding support solutions within the education and residential sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to a child with SEND in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting, collaborating with teachers and staff to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Utilise and adapt effective strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors, ensuring the child's well-being and safety.
• Monitor and document the child's progress and behaviors to guide best practices, working closely with parents and caregivers to ensure consistent, integrated support.
• Assist in developing and implementing personalized learning plans that cater to the child's unique needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.

Requirements:

• Proven experience supporting children with special educational needs, especially within an EYFS setting.
• Training in de-escalation techniques and behavioral management strategies (e.g., Team Teach, PACE) is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting children.
