Job Description:

We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our expanding Real Estate team in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading project management commissions and ensuring that client objectives are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery.
  • Act as the key client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time and cost targets.

Scope:

Senior Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, with a normal value of up to £40m. However, the project size may be larger for advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise at a strategic level, providing guidance on approaches to achieve client objectives.
  • Establish overall success criteria, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
  • Plan and manage quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Project planning, including producing a detailed project plan.
  • Advise on resource procurement.
  • Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques.
  • Manage the change control process.
  • Monitor and advise on project finances.
  • Manage project information flow between the team and client.
  • Produce formal project progress reports.
  • Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages.

Marketing and Business Development:

  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Identify and act on cross-selling opportunities.
  • Work with Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new work.
  • Attend client pitches with Assistant Directors and Directors.
  • Ensure project case studies, photographs, and project CV files are up to date.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve project management products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience managing Real Estate projects, ideally in a consultancy environment.
