About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join our growing team in either our Cambridge or Bristol office. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the design and development of next-generation RISC-V processors and extensions.
- Responsibilities:
- Lead the microarchitecture definition and implementation of RISC-V processors and extensions.
- Develop processor designs within Codasip's Architectural Language (CodAL).
- Conduct design synthesis and analysis to ensure performance, power consumption, and area targets are met.
- Collaborate closely with the verification team on planning, debugging, and sign-off of verification activities.
- Create technical specifications and documentation for processor designs.
- Participate in design and verification reviews to ensure high quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer architecture, digital design principles, and the RISC-V instruction set architecture. Experience with hardware description languages (HDLs) such as Verilog or VHDL is essential. A proven track record in processor design and development is highly desirable.
