Job Overview

This role is an exciting opportunity to join ISG as a Social Value Advisor, where you will play a key part in delivering social value on construction projects. As a Social Value Advisor, you will work closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that social value requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver social value plans and provide insights on how to maximize social value
  • Support project teams to implement social value initiatives, including work placements, apprenticeships, educational events, and community initiatives
  • Support projects in recording, reporting, and achieving social value targets
  • Meet client, stakeholder, legislative, and internal requirements on social standards
  • Advise the commercial team on securing supply chain involvement
  • Liaise with relevant partner organizations, such as local schools, charities, employment, and skills agencies
  • Monitor and review social value data to ensure accuracy and performance improvement

Requirements

  • Experience of delivering social value projects and meeting project targets
  • National Themes, Outcomes, and Measures (TOMs) awareness/experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience and understanding of social value issues and opportunities in construction
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
