Job Description

Counsel Lawyer (Lawyer) at the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

This is a unique opportunity to join our largest team of lawyers and paralegals, who pride themselves on their collegiate and supportive environment.

As a Counsel Lawyer, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting cases to the Fitness to Practise Committee. You will work closely with a head and senior legal colleagues to achieve fair and timely conclusions.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparing case papers and presentations
  • Representing clients at Fitness to Practise hearings
  • Providing expert advice to panel members
  • Liaising with other teams within the NMC
