Job Description

As a Home Goods Merchandiser at B&M Retail, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of our Homewares team. Your responsibilities will include working closely with the Buyer to ensure stock levels are maintained throughout the year. You will also be responsible for creating weekly core stock orders, managing orders into the business efficiently, and driving performance during key trading periods such as new product range launches and seasonal peaks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to maximise sales and profit across the range.
  • Analysing data and trends to inform decisions and identify market gaps.
  • Forecasting and planning to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Utilising Excel to manipulate reports and gain insights.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as an experienced Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser ready to step up.
  • A track record of achieving targets and delivering growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
