Dartford, Kent, United Kingdom Leigh Academies Trust Full time

We are seeking a motivated and engaging individual to join our team as an Education Support Assistant, starting from September 2024. This role involves providing support for pupils who have a range of specific needs, allowing them to catch up from previous underachievement and make strong progress in various subjects. The successful candidate will be adaptable, personable, and committed to delivering an excellent service on behalf of the school and wider Trust.

The main aim of this role is to assist our teachers in delivering academic excellence, with professionalism and enthusiasm. This will involve:

  1. Assisting students with their educational and social development, on an individual and group basis.
  2. Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
  3. Assisting teachers with the maintenance of student records.
  4. Building and maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration.
  5. Delivering a personalised curriculum for each pupil's learning.

As part of Leigh Academies Trust, we offer a supportive environment for professional development and progression. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This apprenticeship could be the start of a promising career within the Trust. We endeavour to offer further employment following successful performance and completion of the Level 3 course, with opportunities to extend training with a higher level apprenticeship programme.
