Aerospace Documentation Writer

Join us at Line Up Aviation as a skilled Aerospace Documentation Writer on a contract basis for six months.

You will translate complex technical details into well-structured, easy-to-understand documentation, ensuring seamless collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be creating and maintaining high-quality materials that effectively support our products and their users.

Your involvement will include working onsite two-thirds of the time, with potential for increased hours if required. Compensation for this position ranges from £37 per hour to £50 per hour, determined by your level of experience, through an umbrella arrangement following IR35 regulations.

BPSS clearance is essential, along with a commitment to acquiring full SC clearance in due course. Limited UK-based travel may be involved.

Main Tasks:
  • Prepare, refine, and maintain technical documents, encompassing user manuals, setup instructions, API documentation, and online assistance tools.
  • Establish a logical structure for content, ensuring coherence, consistency, and accuracy throughout.
  • Familiarize yourself with various documentation tools and content management systems to develop and control content efficiently.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to company branding and style guidelines.
  • Show proficiency in documentation software such as Adobe, Confluence, or Microsoft Word.
