Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Theatre Practitioner to join our urology team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth of our service.

Our team of urologists provides a comprehensive range of services, including stone surgery, laser prostatectomy, reconstructive urology, and robotics. We are looking for three experienced theatre nurses to join us and help drive the expansion of our service.

In this role, you will work closely with our senior team lead to provide exceptional care and support to patients. You will also have opportunities to expand your knowledge base and skills, working alongside specialists in gynaecology, fertility, and obstetrics.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based care with attention to patient experience
  • Assess, plan, and review care throughout the operating list
  • Develop leadership qualities and use interpersonal skills effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Maintain a safe environment through developing and maintaining skills in surgical equipment and instrumentation
  • Share knowledge and skills through mentorship, supervision, and teaching
  • Demonstrate personal responsibility towards professional learning
  • Awareness of the Trust's recovery plan and understanding of list productivity, efficiency, and planning

The estimated salary for this position is £32,000 - £38,000 per annum, reflecting the requirements of the role and the location of the position.
