We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Advisor to join our Group Operations & Commercial Legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role:

This role will involve providing strategic legal advice to support large-scale commercial contracts, working closely with the Group Chief Operating Office, Group Property, and Payments teams.

You will be responsible for identifying key legal risks, advising on their implications for the Group, and supporting the business by providing clear, pragmatic solution-focused advice.

In addition, you will contribute to the team's initiatives to provide training to the Group Sourcing team and Group-wide business partners on relevant legal topics.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective selection and management of external legal counsel.

About You:

  • You must be a fully qualified lawyer with a current practicing certificate for a UK jurisdiction or equivalent legal qualification.
  • You should have experience of negotiating commercial contracts, outsourcing arrangements, and technology agreements gained either in an established in-house legal team or in private practice.
  • You will need strong commercial awareness together with a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills are essential, as well as a proactive approach to interacting with executives and delivering messages in a cohesive and simple way.
