Electronics Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team in Chelmsford. As a key member of our Defence sector team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic systems that meet our high standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronic systems, including circuit and system designs, using design simulations and practical testing.
  • Ensure design compliance with regulatory, legislative, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Identify intellectual property and patent issues and opportunities, and drive the submission of claims as needed.
  • Conduct regular reviews of market trends and technological advancements to identify opportunities for new products and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with business leadership to develop these opportunities into future projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar.
  • Prior experience in designing power electronic systems, such as Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), Switch Mode Power Supply (PSU), High-frequency digital and analogue circuits.
  • Skilled in designing electronic systems with a focus on reliability and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical safety requirements and models safe working practices.
