Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Housing and Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering intensive person-centred support and accommodation choices to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to identify client needs and create achievable support plans, ensuring that each individual receives the necessary assistance to maintain their accommodation and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with outreach workers to build rapport and trust with homeless clients.
  • Support clients in attending appointments and engaging in services to improve physical and mental health.
  • Encourage clients to focus on their strengths and talents, promoting positive behavioural and lifestyle changes.
  • Help clients access benefits and manage alcohol and/or substance misuse.
  • Support clients in improving practical skills and accessing education, training, or employment opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Passion for working with homeless people.
  • Clear verbal and written English.
  • Interest in homelessness and related issues.
  • Knowledge of best practice in supporting people with drug/alcohol and/or mental ill health issues.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum,
