Role Overview:

As a Paramedic Functional Assessor, you will utilize your clinical expertise to assess how an individual's disability or health condition affects their daily life. This role involves working with complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders.

About the Position:

You will be conducting telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition impacts their daily life. You will also be producing Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to aid the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining a person's eligibility for benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals' disabilities or health conditions
  • Produce detailed reports on assessment findings
  • Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision

Requirements:

  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of post-registration experience gained within or outside of an NHS ambulance trust
  • Able to work in the UK without sponsorship
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
