Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specialist in Elderly Care to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a medical professional with expertise in managing complex physical disorders in older adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to older adult patients within a community-based inpatient setting.
  • Provide senior medical guidance and direct input on clinical cases, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain links with local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards, enhancing patient outcomes.
  • Assess, manage, plan, and deliver care for allocated patients, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills.
Requirements
  • Fully registered with the GMC, holding a license to practice.
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training or equivalent experience in a relevant specialty or as a fixed-term specialty trainee.
  • Experience in managing a broad range of physical disorders in older adults, including end-of-life care.
