Teaching Assistant for Students with Special Needs

Opogo Careers is recruiting a qualified and compassionate Drama Support Assistant to work as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant in Waltham Forest, London.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in drama to use their skills to make a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement individualised education plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about using their creativity and energy to inspire and support students in engaging with their learning. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, organised, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside teachers to adapt lesson plans to suit the needs of SEN students.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, using drama techniques and creative approaches to engage and motivate students.
- Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement.
What We Offer:
