Forbo Movement Systems is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team. As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant, including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, procedures, and regulations.
- Plant Equipment: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Projects: Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements and capital investment projects.
- Site Security: Ensure the site is secure during weekends, shutdowns, and out-of-hours working.
- Contractors: Work with contractors and specialists to plan and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Engineering Processes: Maintain accurate records, create and review Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs), and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Communication: Provide clear updates to the engineering team and participate in relevant meetings.
- Time-served mechanical biased maintenance engineer.
- Practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a process-oriented environment.
- Fault finding and root cause analysis experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly as required.
- Experience with IT packages such as Microsoft and CMMS.
