Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner for Children

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner to join its CAMHS Crisis Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to children and young people in mental health crisis.
About the Job
In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work closely with other professionals to assess, plan, and implement interventions for children and young people presenting in mental health crisis. You will be responsible for delivering short-term, intensive mental health interventions and providing risk and mental health assessment, formulation, and contingency planning.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing brief clinical risk and mental health assessment, formulation, and short-term contingency planning for children and young people presenting in mental health crisis.
- Delivering short-term, intensive mental health intervention for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that individual episodes of care are delivered in a timely, effective, and integrated manner.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Mental Health Nurse/Social work qualification or Registered Nurse with CAMHS experience.
- Current NMC/HCPC Registration appropriate to the job role.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Estimated Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £34,893 - £43,041 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including:Pension scheme.Annual leave.Training and development opportunities.
