Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at our Head Office in Plymouth. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial reports, including P&L and Balance Sheet, and provide insightful commentary on variances.
- Partner with key teams across the business to drive commercial decision-making and improve financial performance.
- Review and challenge monthly accruals and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the sales ledger process and manual payment processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor revenue tracking processes for online and store operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns, including VAT, ONS, and Intrastat.
- Assist with year-end audit and provide support to the Finance Manager as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in a commercial organization with a strong background in financial reporting.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Professional qualification in accounting (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Confidence to challenge existing practices and seek improvements.
