A Leading Role in Defence Safety:

As a Safety Manager with our client, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the delivery of defence projects, ensuring compliance with legislation, defence regulations, and established policies. This challenging role involves advising on the delivery of safety programmes and artefacts, leveraging your expertise to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Programme Delivery: Develop and implement safety programmes that align with the overarching programme and safety management plan.
  • Collaboration with Delivery Teams: Work closely with delivery teams to produce high-quality safety and environmental artefacts within specified timelines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide expert guidance on compliance with policies, legislation, and defence regulations, ensuring timely delivery of tasks against agreed plans.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the delivery team in safety engagements, including regulatory interfaces, and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Daily Activity Management: Oversee daily activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in delivering Land Equipment safety and environmental artefacts.
    • Expertise in safety case reports and hazard logs.
    • Experience with MOD safety and environmental protection, including implementation of POSMS and POEMS, and compliance with military regulations and defence standards.
    • Practitioner-level understanding of DE&S safety management systems and processes.
