About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Submarine Maintenance Design Engineer to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our Supporting Engineering - Maintenance Team, you will play a critical role in the delivery and assurance of maintenance derivation work, maintenance task analysis, level of repair analysis, and maintenance tasks instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners, to deliver maintenance design and documentation.
  • Provide estimates for scope of work and resources required to support bids, proposal development, and project planning activities.
  • Lead technical teams, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure high-quality work.
  • Apply quality and safety management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Background as a Royal Navy Submariner in Marine or Weapons Engineering capacity.
  • Extensive domain knowledge of Royal Navy Submarine systems and operations.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and provide effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle and support activities.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Defence, industry, and corporate standards.
