Regulatory Conduct Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Conduct Officer to join our team at Lennoxvale Specialist Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing correspondence, assisting in the initial assessment of complaints regarding the conduct of a solicitor, registering complaints for investigation, handling telephone enquiries from complainants and solicitors as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process correspondence and assist in the initial assessment of complaints
  • Register complaints for investigation and handle telephone enquiries
  • Provide administrative support for complaint correspondence and casework
  • Investigate and respond to complaints in accordance with the Solicitors (NI) Order 1976 as amended
  • Provide initial assessments of complaints and applicable complaint statistics and data
  • Assist in the provision of ad hoc reports concerning complaints and other feedback
Requirements:
  • Degree in law and at least two years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used office packages
  • Strong IT and typing skills
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and ensure decisions are taken in accordance with Departmental procedures and policies
  • Experience of working in a regulatory context and relevant qualification in investigation/complaints handling
