About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Electronics Hardware Development Lead to join our Wokingham-based team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing hardware development activities, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee hardware development activities within the team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering disciplines and production teams, to deliver multidisciplinary projects.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and incorporate them into product development, ensuring our products remain competitive and innovative.
- Support the professional development of the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Provide accurate time estimates for project development activities in collaboration with project managers and sales teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in a senior electronics design role, including analogue and digital circuits and high-performance processors.
- Strong people management skills and experience in the full lifecycle of product development.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to work.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in the Defence sector or similar industries (e.g., scientific equipment, special-purpose machinery, high-end customisation).
- Knowledge of analogue and digital video, FPGA development, PCB design, and EMC best practices.
