About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals Careers is seeking a skilled and experienced Trainer to join our External Training team during an exciting period of growth. As an Industry Leading Trainer, you will play a key role in planning and delivering training courses within your responsible skillset, helping to transform the lives of our colleagues and customers by ensuring they are inspired and developed to be the best they can.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of training courses, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, including Health and Safety operational standards
  • Identifying training courses that could be offered directly or indirectly, such as IPAF, PASMA, Ladder Association, Confined Space, CITB, C&G and plant training
  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining training course material as required, ensuring it meets industry leading standards
  • Helping to coordinate and manage activities that affect operational training requirements, ensuring seamless delivery of training courses
  • Providing product and compliance training to colleagues within the business, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism
  • Managing and maintaining the condition of the training environment, including materials, equipment and facilities, to ensure a safe and effective learning experience
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers throughout Sunbelt Rentals to achieve company objectives, fostering a collaborative and proactive approach
  • Providing technical assistance as and when required to both colleagues and customers, promoting a culture of support and expertise
  • Achieving revenue, cost and profit targets, driving business growth and success
  • Pursuing personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role, staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends
  • Representing the company and values of the business at all times, embodying the principles of excellence, integrity and customer focus

What We Offer

We provide a highly competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:

  • An experienced trainer able to motivate and coach colleagues and customers, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism
  • Ability to deliver training courses to the level specified, meeting industry leading standards
  • Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety, Training and Training Accreditation operational standards
  • Knowledge of courses such as IPAF, PASMA, Ladder Association, Confined Space, CITB, C&G and plant training
  • Skilled communicator and relationship manager, able to coach, present and influence stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen, financial and budget management skills
  • Results driven, with excellent planning and organisation skills, able to harness and co-ordinate resources
  • Good IT and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
