Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join our Children's Physiotherapy Team in South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide and varied caseload, with knowledge and experience in Paediatrics, including musculoskeletal conditions and complex presentations.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be based within Palmer Community Hospital, Jarrow, and will be responsible for providing physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice to a varied caseload of clients. They will also participate in the clinical supervision, training, and education of all staff, including students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice to a varied caseload of clients.
- Collaborate with and guide junior physiotherapy staff.
- Participate in the clinical supervision, training, and education of all staff, including students.
- Experience within Paediatric physiotherapy.
- Awareness of relevant standardised formal and informal assessments and therapy approaches.
- Experience of supervising qualified Physiotherapy staff, assistants, and students.
- Some experience of policy/practice development in specialist area.
- Evidence of extensive CPD and up-to-date knowledge within Paediatrics.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Knowledge of specialist assessment tools relevant to Paediatric Physiotherapy.
- Knowledge of national and local policies relevant to health, social services, and education.
- Proven organisational and planning skills.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
