We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at The London Clinic. As a Pharmacy Technician - Aseptic Services Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective preparation of medications in our aseptic unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff working in the cleanroom environment and support the Deputy Aseptic Services Manager as required.
- Be a role model to junior staff and actively encourage adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Participate in the safe and accurate manufacturing and dispensing of cytotoxic, hazardous, and monoclonal preparations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and standards of GMP.
- Ensure an efficient medicines and sundries top-up service is provided to the Aseptic Services Unit (ASU).
- Work with ASU Management to aid co-ordination of quality assurance and control activities, including environmental and facilities monitoring, daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of ASU, as well as monthly active air sampling.
- Maintain equipment according to procedures, including leak testing of isolators and necessary scale calibration testing.
- Participate in quality improvement projects as directed by ASU Management.
- Proactively identify potential savings and best practice opportunities in all compounding and tray assembly processes.
Requirements:
- Experience in aseptic services and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is essential.
- Strong leadership and communication skills are required to supervise staff and work effectively with ASU Management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
