Job Summary:

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 2 Driver for a 12-week temp-to-perm position with one of our esteemed clients specializing in steel deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Class 2 vehicles, as well as 7.5T and Van when required, to complete deliveries of steel over the South Coast area.
  • Work in the warehouse (picking & packing, loading & unloading, stock checking etc) when required, but drive 90% of the time.
  • Strap and secure steel loads for transportation.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Class 2 licence.
  • Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
  • Strapping experience.
  • Physically fit and happy to heavy lift where necessary.
  • Flexible to work where required.
  • Own transport to commute to and from work.
  • Fantastic customer service skills.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures.
