This role is based in our Bristol office with occasional travel to clients' sites as required. We offer a hybrid working model as part of our commitment to flexible working.

Responsibilities

Design high-quality aerospace products, taking them through the full lifecycle from requirements to production and customer delivery. Develop and simulate analogue and digital circuits for aerospace applications, selecting electronic components based on specifications, availability, cost, and reliability.

Test prototypes, perform debugging, and iterate on designs. Prepare technical documentation in accordance with engineering processes and project needs. Participate in design reviews, track project milestones, coordinate tasks with team members, and report progress to stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-discipline engineering teams and provide technical support for hardware manufacturing. The level and scope of responsibilities will be dependent on the successful candidate's knowledge and experience.

Qualifications

Candidates will ideally be degree qualified in a related discipline, ideally a registered Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership. Essential skills include comfort with defining and/or working with detailed hardware requirements, competent schematic entry and architecture definition, and a proven track record of problem-solving.

Desired skills include defined or influenced company standards for hardware development process, initiating process improvement and change management, and experience in technical areas such as motor drives, analogue sensor interfaces, SMPS design, and failure protection circuits.
