Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Computing Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in the UK. This full-time maternity cover role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver engaging Computing lessons and contribute to the school's commitment to high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver Computing lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, covering programming, computational thinking, data representation, and cybersecurity.
  • Develop and implement project-based learning techniques to foster collaboration, creativity, and real-world application of computing skills.
  • Guide students through coding languages such as Python, HTML, and JavaScript, promoting software development and logical reasoning.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support ongoing development.
  • Support Key Stage 4 students as they prepare for their GCSE Computing exams, assisting with coursework and revision strategies to maximize achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Computing department to align curriculum goals, share resources, and engage in collective planning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Computing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Computing or ICT at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Proficiency in coding languages, database management, and familiarity with current software and hardware trends in education.
