Support Worker Role

At Orbis Education and Care, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Ty Bronllys. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the lives of our young people, supporting their daily activities, educational needs, and personal development.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with a talented team of teachers, therapists, and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning, and social interactions.
  • Fostering a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
  • Implementing individualised care plans, under the guidance of a supportive senior team.
  • Supporting our young people during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promoting independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our young people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.


What We're Looking For

We are seeking individuals who possess a compassionate nature, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships. You will also need to be resilient and patient when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes are also essential. Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts, is required.
