We are seeking a highly skilled Estates Surveyor to join our team at Northumbrian Water. As an Estates Surveyor, you will play a critical role in providing professional advice and service to various departments within our organization, relating to all land and property issues.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and undertake referencing, access negotiations, Schedules of Condition, serving of Statutory Notices, compensation negotiations, acquisition, and purchase of rights in land.
- Assist with managing the Non-Operational Estate and Leasehold of the Operational Estate, including Residential, Agriculture, and Commercial land and buildings within our portfolio.
- Deliver the capital delivery programme and demonstrate progress through regular updates and reviews.
- Maintain good relations with landowners' agents, tenants, and property partners, and maximize income from property and increase the security of income to provide a reliable source of revenue.
We are looking for a team player with excellent stakeholder management skills, MRICS qualified with rural or general practice surveying experience, including agriculture, landlord and tenant, acquisitions, and disposal. You should have a good understanding of external property markets influence and wider property projects.
You will be able to maintain and develop working relationships with landowners, tenants, contractors', customers, and partners, adapting and presenting cases in a manner appropriate to the audience. You will have experience delivering varied property and technical transactions and innovative solutions to deliver maximum value and outcome.
You will have an understanding of the varied customers (internal and external) of a Utilities company and the range of their needs, being able to support the delivery of property solutions to service requirements. You will also have experience of developing and implementing estates processes and management of information.
A full UK Driving License is required for this role.
This has been defined as a Safety or Security Critical Role, and as a condition of a formal offer of employment, you'll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test, prior to or within four weeks of your start date.
