About the Role
This fixed-term appointment offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care within a multidisciplinary team. As a senior clinician, you will work closely with colleagues from various backgrounds to develop and implement strategies that promote positive outcomes for residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and coordination of psychological care services for the home/unit.
- Ensure the systematic provision of high-quality specialist psychological services, focusing on co-production and addressing complex psychological problems.
- Develop and implement psychological interventions, including specialist neuropsychological assessment, consultancy, and expert advice to multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead the creation, development, and maintenance of a multi-professional therapeutic environment, informed by the SECURE STAIRS framework and the Trauma Recovery Model.
- Contribute to staff recruitment, professional appraisal, and identification of continuing professional development needs.
- Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for specialist assessments and treatment plans.
Person Specification
We are looking for a qualified Clinical Psychologist with substantial experience in working with diverse patient groups across the full range of clinical severity. The ideal candidate should possess:
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or equivalent).
- Formal training in supervision or equivalent experience.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Substantial experience in delivering group programs, working with ambivalent clients, and liaison with other health professionals.
Benefits
