Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Human Islet Isolation and Transplantation

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism (OCDEM), Churchill Hospital.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a senior member of the Human Islet Isolation team, working on the NHS commissioned UK Nationwide Human Islet Isolation programme. The team operates under the regulation of the Human Tissue Authority, producing GMP grade human islets for transplantation.
As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will play a lead role in the Group's Translational Research programme, aiming to optimise islet isolation and transplantation to reverse diabetes in children soon after diagnosis.
The Oxford Islet Transplant Research Group holds international standing amongst the islet isolation and transplantation communities, with cutting-edge bench-to-bedside research.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking part in human pancreatic islet isolation and transplantation, as well as contributing to the Group's Translational Research programme.
