Clinical Coding Team Leader Position

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Clinical Coding Department as a Clinical Coding Team Leader, Band 6. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced B5 to gain valuable experience in a junior management role while still maintaining their own clinical coding workload.
About the Role- Responsibilities include mentoring and training of new coders, day-to-day supervision of the coding team, and ensuring all monthly mandated coding deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Coding Manager to ensure effective service delivery for coding.
- Supervise the Clinical Coding Team, ensuring all agreed national and local timescales are met.
- Provide high-quality and timely coded data.
- Offer training and mentorship to clinical coding team members.
- Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC) - equivalent to degree level.
- Post-graduate management qualification or relevant recent managerial/supervisory experience.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge/skills and experience as a Clinical Coder.
The salary range for this position is £37,338 to £44,962 per annum pro rata, based on the location and job requirements. Our trust offers a great work-life balance and has a fine tradition of supporting staff to achieve their full potential.
